Lovely Construction

When a building downtown is being remolded, typically an ugly sidewalk shed and scaffolding is constructed to protect pedestrians. Unfortunately, it is a huge eyesore, at least until KNEstudio came up with an innovative design for New York city.

I've got to say this is one of the greatest examples of design I've seen this year. Not only have they minimized the eyesore while maintaining the functionality, they have added beauty and dreaminess to the landscape. Taking a thorn, and turning it into a rose is truly an art.
