Cooking Compact

Living in a >250 sq. ft. studio apartment, I know the importance of using space well. I also love modern, minimalistic designs, which unfortunately usually require large expanses of open space. But the kitchen Kristin Laass and Norman Ebelt miraculously meets both the requirements.

I absolutely love the conservation of space. Fitting everything in properly, while still maintaining access to the refrigerator and cabinetry when the design is closed is an amazing feat. They achieve minimalism by using a simple set of colors and by keeping features square and unobtrusive. For example, look at the inset handles.

However, I have one complaint about this brilliant design. Were they expecting to the fridge to be functional? I don't think it could even store a gallon of milk in it!
